Austin, Rochester and Minnesota have been knocked out.
The Carolina RailHawks, Montreal Impact and Puerto Rico Islanders all advanced to the semifinals of the USSF D-2 Pro League Playoffs this evening. Carolina and Montreal will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Stade Saputo in Montreal, Quebec on Thursday, Oct. 14, while Puerto Rico will face the winner of the Portland-Vancouver series.

The situation in AC St. Louis looks finally stable, weeks after they folded their sister operation St. Louis Athletica, a WPS team, there were question marks surrounding the financial situation in STL, and fears that the club would fold before finishing its first season. But guess who stepped in with some cash, Jeff Cooper, duh and now guess who packed their bags and was sent home, head coach Claude Anelka, duh. Claude, is the brother of Chelsea star Nicolas Anelka, who was also sent home packing from the French team, only to watch his national team implode only like only the French can.
Well the conditions in STL look much better, after weeks of mystery of what would happen to the club. They beat NSC Minnesota in the 2nd round of the US Open Cup and will head to LA this week to face the Galaxy. The AC St. Louis … Read the rest

The opening weekend of the 2010 USSF Division 2 season is almost here. Eight teams and four matches, will give us a look at most of the competition from coast to coast. The Timbers season begins at PGE Park next Saturday the 17th, at 7:00pm.
