Bigotry shall not be tolerated in MLS and until Seattle plays a game against Portland where I don’t hear about racism coming from the Timbers Army, they will be excluded from any list I make of “best fans in MLS.”

This wouldn’t be a big deal if it were some random blog (like us) making these accusations, but this is coming from a guy on the Sounders payroll.  That’s a big deal.

When asked via Twitter for some evidence of his accusations, he … Read the rest

ACES (Any Club Except Seattle), the supporters group which has a cup for the team which beats the Sounders the most times each season, pulled off a big Stunt at the Sounders’ home opener against the Philadelphia Union. They had a plane fly over Qwest with the banner “ACES: GO UNION!”

  • Shittle fans
  • The Sound Wave
  • If you buy a bottled water they throw the cap away and hand it to you. Your bottle is now impossible to reuse. Way to be green Seattle.
  • Washed up goalies.
  • 2 beer choices and one is sold out. Nothing says Northwest like Bud Light.
  • Overrated prima-donna forwards who flop and whine to the ref.
  • Fans who obviously weren’t around when their team averaged 2,000 home attendance, but put up signs about “history”
  • The chick who spent 8 minutes burning steaming milk for a latte. This is the home of Starbucks?
  • It’s a rotten metal taco
  • Who wants to go to a soccer match and sit so far away you can’t see?
  • No board up with game stats (maybe that’s because it was a charity match?)
  • It’s too big, so sound doesn’t carry. Oh wait, they fixed that by piping in chants on the PA

AC St. Louis will play its inaugural season this year in the Second Division. St. Louis has a long and rich history of teams and players, but has been without a professional side for some time. The name AC St. Louis is homage to the Missouri Athletic Club, which has helped promote soccer in the region for over 100 years.

In 2008 St. Louis Athletica formed to play in the Woman’s Professional Soccer League and this helped jump start the mens side. The teams will play at Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park, a large sports complex, with a main field capable of holding 6,000 spectators. You may know this complex best as part of failed bid attempt for a MLS expansion team.

AC St. Louis is hitting the ground running with a signature first player future Hall of Famer and hometown kid, Steve Ralston from New England Revolution aka Saint Steve of … Read the rest
