Today we play host to Ajax Amsterdam at Jeld Wen Field. We like to toot our horn about our club history, well Ajax’s history goes back over 125 years. The Portland Timbers were a baby in the womb, while Ajax was dominating Europe by winning the European Cup (now commonly referred to as the Champions League) three times in a row from 1971-73. In total they have been crowned champions of Europe four times. That is feat only four other clubs can claim, well until Saturday when three time winners Barcelona and Man U play their final.
