Place Your Bets: Playoff Races and Vancouver Away

I’ve got an apology to make.  I’ve been screwing up the payouts.  For example, if you bet $5 on a 2:1, I’ve been paying out $10, but really you should get $15 since your original bet should be returned as well.  I don’t really care though because we’re giving you free monopoly money to play with so no complaints!  Going forward we’ll get it right.

With the playoff race in full swing, this week you can bet on lots of other matches.   We’re only giving out lines on results that are supposed to be helpful to the Timbers (according to sportsclubstats.com), so you can still feel like you’re betting for your team.

Cooper 6:1
Perlaza 9:1
Nagbe 7:1
Chara 8:1
Dike 12:1
Zizzo 12:1
Alhassan 18:1
Defense 8:1
Field 12:1

Side Bets

Pays out only on win:
Chicago over Houston, pays 2:1
Toronto over New York, pays 2:1
Dallas over Colorado, pays 2:1
DC over Columbus, pays 2:1
Chivas over Union, pays 3:2

Timbers Superfecta:  all above matches end in Timbers favor or draw, and Timbers win, pays 22:1
BC Place roof is open for Timbers match, pays 1:1 (must make bet by Saturday 3pm)

Goals scored in Timbers vs Whitecaps under 1.5, pays 1:1

The Rules
-Everyone gets $20 in monopoly money each week to bet with. Anyone can jump in at any time.
-If you are carrying a balance, you get your balance plus $20.
-Use it or lose it: If you don’t bet that week your balance won’t go up by $20.
