USSF Division-2 Power Rankings – July

9 July 2010 191 views No Comment

#1 Rochester Rhinos (1.79 points per game, previously #7) They have a busy July, giving them a chance to catch Austin in the standings, including today’s match.
#2 Vancouver Whitecaps FC (1.63 points per game, previously #4) Big victories over Austin and Montreal, need Nash to keep the offense going
#3 Austin Aztex (2.07 points per game, previously #1) Couldn’t put them at #1 after loss to Vancouver and only beating up on the terrible Blues in June.
#4 Carolina RailHawks (1.50 points per game, previously #5) July will be tough for them with away games against Puerto Rico, Montreal and Rochester.

#5 Portland Timbers (1.33 points per game, previously #9) Topsy turvy season is heading in the right direction at the moment, will points and goals leader Ryan Pore get involved again?

#6 Montreal Impact (1.21 points per game, previously #3) Losing to upper tier teams Vancouver and Rochester doesn’t bode well for championship repeat
#7 Tampa Bay Rowdies (1.36 points per game, previously #2)

#8 Puerto Rico Islanders (1.17 points per game, previously #8) Goal differential of just -1, yet can’t seem to find a way to win.  Could be a dark horse.
#9 NSC Minnesota Stars (1.18 points per game, previously #12)  In the opposite situation of Puerto Rico, with a GD of -8, yet they have six more points.
#10 Crystal Palace Baltimore (1.07 points per game, previously #6)
#11 Miami FC Blues (1.00 points per game, previously #10)
#12 AC St. Louis (0.69 points per game, previously #11) Worst offense and third worst defense.
